On a Solo Mission

Haruka wandered through the sound, pretty badly beaten up after a mission.
"Damn..."

Sasuke was standing outside his castle, staring into space.

She coughed and was brutally shoved by a passer-by.
"Watch it,"
They snarled, and earned a weak glare in reply. Haruka limped over to a bench and sat down, sighing in relief.

Sasuke was bored, even though he had lots of paperwork to do, so he started to walk through the village. He walked past the bench where Haruka was, not seeing her.

She wiped a small trail of blood from the side of her mouth and rubbed at a severely bruised arm, resting her ANBU mask on her lap.

Sasuke finally noticed her and watched her.

She sighed heavily, pushing herself to her feet again and wincing as her injured ankle had pressure put on it.
"Ngh.."

Sasuke walked over to her. "What's wrong?"

"I lost concentration on a mission...and payed the price...I was hoping i would be able to rest up here until i was fit to return home..."
She shook her head.
"Stupid idea...This is no place for a Konoha ninja..."

Sasuke frowned slightly. "You're from Konoha?"

She nodded.
"Yes...Theres no point in denying it, the mask easily gives it away..."
She held up the wolf ANBU mask and showed the Konoha ANBU tattoo on her arm.
"I wont hide it..."

"It's a good thing I'm not Orochimaru," Sasuke muttered under his breath. "So, do you want to rest?"

She bowed then felt the pain quickly knock the air out of her.
"Ugh...T-Thats kind of you, really, but i dont belong here...If you want me to leave then i will leave..."

"You don't have to leave.... just as long as you don't cause any touble."

"I really dont think i'm in any condition to cause any trouble.."
She smirked weakly.

'Alright then... come on." He picked her up gently and carried her into his castle. He walked up a long winding staircase into a bedroom and set her on a big bed.

She sighed in relief as she felt herself being placed on a bed.
"Thank you...I appreciate it.."

"It's no problem. Would you like anything?"

"A glass of water would be nice...Thanks again,"

Sasuke nodded and walked out of the room to get the water. He returned ten minutes later, for the castle was big and it took a while to get to the kitchen and back. He handed her the water.

She gently took it from him, draining it quickly.
"I'm sorry for the trouble...Normally i can stand on my own two feet.."

"It's no touble. What was the mission you were on anyway?"

"Assassination...There was a rogue ninja coming here with belongings they had stolen from the Leaf dynasty..He was going to sell them on the black market. I was meant to retrieve them,"

Sasuke sighed. "Who was it?"

"Not sure...Whoever it was wasnt originally from here...Travelling nin i suppose..."
