Personality toward other people: Tani tends to come off as tomboyish, blunt, sarcastic, and pessmistic towards her peers. She doesn't like to show weakness in front of people because she feels that people can walk all over her that way, but she does have a soft side. She tends to be a little on the reserved side when she's feeling uncomfortable or nervous in a situation and can be a little clumsy in speech.

Background: Tani grew up in a family that held high expectations and rules, where she was expected to obey and never speak out of term. Her parents didn't really care much about her and only wanted her to carry out the family name and not slander it. If she couldn't do that, then she was seen as an outsider to her family. She wishes to be accepted by her family so she trains hard in hopes that she can become stronger and make her family proud...and hopefully be loved and cared for.

Back in the academy days, Tani tended to stray away from her peers mostly because of her bloodline, and also because she wasn't a real people person. Her parents constantly told her to focus on her studies and nothing else. She did what she was told, but inwardly, she wanted to know what it would be like to have a friend or do something other than just training and studying. Surprisingly, she had graduated second instead of being at the top of her class, which didn't make her parents very happy. It was easy to tell that once she graduated from the academy, they didn't have much faith in her and they were at the point of giving up on her. She swore to herself she wouldn't let that happen and she would do whatever it took to become accepted by her family.
