Ramen crossing

Ikatsu had decided to take a break from a mission to konohagakure and eat. Knowing the tension between konoha and Sound he removed his headband, before sitting down to eat at the local ramen shop. He had never tasted Miso ramen before now and thought it was pretty damn good.

Tani made her way into the ramen shop before plopping down in the nearest seat, ignoring Ikatsu for the time being. "One order of beef ramen over here." she ordered.

Ikatsu had been to ingulfed in his food to notice her until she spoke. He looked up and nodded to her, signifying a hello

She glanced in Ikatsu's direction when she noticed him staring at her. She raised an eyebrow before she nodded back a bit as a greeting. She grinned as her ramen finally arrived. "Thanks pops..." she said before she pulled her chopsticks apart and began to dig in.

wonder if she's.... no dont think about it ikatsu... you know what happened last time. He thought while sipping his ramen up. He glanced back and saw two people sitting on a bench, he then began looking around. nope...nothing strange

She put her chopsticks down for a moment, letting her elbows rest on the table for a moment. She accidently bumped hers up against the man's and she quickly jerked them back and glared at him, rubbing her elbow a bit. 'I need to be more careful.' she thinks.

She could feel her mind reeling with new information on this man's jutsu and some of his past.

wh...what?! no way.... what was that sudden surge of chakra? He glanced around again franticly seeming to be paronoid

She noticed the frantic look in his eyes and she chuckled. "Hmph, I'm guessing you've never heard of the Hatsuka clan judging by the look on your face, although I'm not really surprised...Ikatsu."

With that simple touch, she had learned his name as well.

"so you were the cause of the chakra surge a moment ago.... surprising...." He said losing the frantic look. He turned back to her "ammusing...."

"Duh..." she rolled her eyes. "Course it was me, there's nobody else around is there?"

"three chuunin dressed as civilians, an ANBU on the ceiling checking the village out and a jounin behind the stand" He shrugged "cant expect such chakra from a normal gennin"

"You know the dumbest thing you can do is underestimate a shinobi right, regardless of their rank. That's how they get killed..." she stated before she resumed slurping up her ramen.

"I didnt say I underestimated you... ms.?" He narrowed his eyes at her. He smirked and glanced into her eyes with an icy insane glance.

"It's Tani Hatsuka, and you might not have said it in words, but you were implying that. You thought just because I was a genin that I couldn't possess such a large amount of chakra right?" she stated.

"If there's one thing I hate more is being underestimated..." she stated, giving him a glare.

"my thoughts are much different than my implementions...." He smirked "I dont underestimate you, its just I'm more worried about chuunin and jounin"

"Hm, is that right...?" she mumbled with a frown. "Well that's great." she said her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"then you must WANT me to underestimate you" He smirked insanely

"That's not what I said, nor am I implying it..." she stated with a roll of her eyes.

"then you shouldnt be using sarcasm" He shrugged smiling widely as ever

"I use sarcasm how I want to..." she stated boredly before she grabbed her chopsticks again and slurped up more ramen.

"and fail at doing so" He said drinking the broth of his ramen

She gave him a glare, but decided she'd rather not retort back so she finished up her ramen instead.

"nice eyes" He commented quietly

She nearly choked on her ramen from his comment, but forced it down. "What?"

"I said you have nice eyes" He said calmly, even with the tint of red on his face.
